Wings of the City, a collection of nine monumental bronze sculptures by world-renowned Mexican artist Jorge Marín is on display in Falls Park and on the Peace Center campus from April until October. Greenville is the first city on the East Coast to host the exhibition. Described as “an aesthetic experience where the perfection of the human body is mixed, in balance, with allegorical forms and fantastic beings,” Marín’s sculptures are expected to draw visitors from across the region. …
Get your staff, family, or friends together for a private, small group class! No skill level needed. Bring a positive attitude and relax as you get messy! The instructor will guide your group in a one and a half hour class in ceramics, painting, or mixed media. You choose the date and type of activity. Fill out the request form and an Arts Center staff member will coordinate the date with you.
Explore a variety of art mediums and techniques at GCCA's Art School! Summer courses will run from May 31 to August 13 and can be booked online. Mediums include clay, mixed media, fiber, jewelry, photography, drawing, and painting. There are even classes designed specifically for teens and young children.
